The CPUC oversees privately owned providers of electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, water, rail transit, and passenger transportation.
Eligibility requires that applicant entity is at least 51% unconditionally owned by U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Ownership and residency status must be validated with the documentation.
The Supplier Clearinghouse is commissions by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) and operates under General Order 156 to verify, audit, certify, and maintain a database of women, minority, LGBT, persons with disabilities and disabled veteran business enterprises to do business with the participating Joint Utility companies.
